The Story Behind Wander

It started with our grandmother.

For years, we watched her struggle with something that seemed so simple, yet slowly changed the way she lived her everyday life.

Her feet hurt. Her balance wasn't what it used to be. Ordinary walks became shorter. Stairs became something she approached carefully. And then came the falls.

At first, we thought she simply needed to slow down.

Then we realized something.

Maybe the problem wasn't that she needed to walk less.

Maybe she needed better shoes.

We started looking everywhere for footwear that actually combined comfort, stability and room for the foot to move naturally. But most of what we found seemed to force people to choose between feeling good and looking good.

So we decided to stop looking.

We started designing.

Ryan and Michael Carter, two brothers with no footwear background, began spending their evenings studying how shoes are built, talking to people who spent their days on their feet, testing different soles, experimenting with wider toe boxes and redesigning what they believed an everyday shoe should feel like.

Prototype after prototype ended up on the floor.

Some were too stiff. Some were too narrow. Some looked great but simply didn't feel right.

But eventually, we found something different.

A shoe designed around the foot instead of forcing the foot to adapt to the shoe.

That idea became Wander.

Because we believe something simple:

A good day starts from the ground up.

Your shoes shouldn't make you think about your feet.

They should make you forget about them.

Wander was created to help people keep walking, keep exploring and keep doing the things they love, one comfortable step at a time.
